Terms & Conditions
• You must be in possession of a valid driving licence, provisional or full. This must be produced on your first lesson.
• You must be fit and legal to drive. It is your responsibility to ensure you are fit to drive on your lessons and test.
• Kerry’s Driver Training can not be held responsible for any money paid to the franchised Instructor. This contract is between the pupil and the instructor.
• Payment for lessons is due at the beginning of the lesson, unless the lesson has been prepaid.
• All prepaid lessons are valid for three months from the date of payment.
• We do not offer refunds on block bookings, unless your lessons have not yet been started.
• 48 HOURS NOTICE MUST BE GIVEN FOR A LESSON CANCELLATION, FOR WHATEVER THE REASON, OR THE LESSON WILL BE CHARGED FOR IN FULL.
• When we arrive at your chosen collection point for your lessons, we shall wait 10 minutes. If you do not turn up in this time, the lesson shall be charged at the full rate.
• We reserve the right to cancel further lessons if you are constantly missing or rearranging lessons.
• The use of the driving school car for your practical test will be charged for at your normal hourly rate.
• Driving tests take priority over lessons, so if we receive a test, booked at short notice, we may have to change lessons at short notice. We will always do our best to book you in for another time.
• The driving school car will of course be made available for your test. However, if we feel you are not ready for the test, but you still insist on taking your test, we reserve the right to withhold the use of the driving school car.
• We cannot be held responsible for the cancellation of your test by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency). Your test fee will usually be refunded by the DVSA. Any fees payable to Kerry’s Driver Training, however will still need to be paid, as the 48 hour notice period still stands. Some of these fees can usually be claimed back from the DVSA.
• If we have to cancel your test, due to vehicle mechanical breakdown or illness on our part, we shall refund your test fee, unless there is still time to change your test.
• The driving school car is your responsibility, whilst on test. Any damage to the car, caused whilst on test, must be paid for in full by the pupil.
• Kerry’s Driver Training has a strict no smoking policy in the vehicle. Smoking breaks can however be taken during your lesson.
• Kerry’s Driver Training Instructors do not discriminate against religion, colour, race, gender or sexual orientation.
