NHS Test And Trace

Kerry’s Driver Training is committed to helping to stop the spread of COVID 19.  We will be adhering to the guidance set out by the Government and the NHS.

Our usual privacy policy remains the same, apart from if we are contacted by the NHS test and trace service.  We must follow Government guidance, for the safety of our pupils, instructors, and examiners, and work with the NHS test and trace service, if contacted.  For everybody’s health and safety, we will be passing pupil and instructor contact details on to the NHS test and trace service, if we’re approached.  This is the ONLY time we will share your details. The following outlines what the NHS test and trace service is for and how it helps stop the spread of COVID 19.

The NHS Test And Trace Service:

  • Ensures that anyone who develops symptoms of coronavirus (COVID 19) can quickly be tested to find out if they have the virus.
  • Helps trace close recent contacts of anyone who tests positive for coronavirus and, if necessary, notifies them that they must self-isolate at home.

How Test And Trace Helps Fight The Virus

The NHS test and trace service will help to control the rate of reproduction (R), reduce the spread of the infection and save lives.

You can help in the following ways:

  • If you develop symptoms, you must continue to follow the rules to self-isolate.
  • If you test positive for coronavirus, you must share information promptly about your recent contacts through the NHS test and trace service.

If you have had close recent contact with someone who has coronavirus, you must self-isolate if the NHS test and trace service advises you to do so.

How NHS Test And Trace Service Works - If You Are Contacted By The NHS Test And Trace Service Because You Have Been In Close Contact With Someone Who Has Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Alert: You will be alerted by the NHS test and trace service if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for coronavirus.

Isolate: You will be told to begin self-isolation for 14 days from your last contact with the person who has tested positive.

Test If Needed: If you develop symptoms of coronavirus, other members of your household must self-isolate immediately at home for 14 days and you must book a test at
www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or call 119 if you have no internet access.

People Who Develop Symptoms Of Coronavirus

The Medical Advice Is Clear. You must self-isolate if you have coronavirus symptoms or live in the same household as somebody who does. The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

A high temperature.
A new, continuous cough.
